Pastors & Staff

Chris May serves as the Elder of Vision and Teaching and has faithfully served as the lead pastor of Real Life Community Church since 2014. He carries a deep burden for the spiritual direction of the church and for helping God’s people see and live out a clear, Christ-centered vision.

Chris has a strong passion for preaching and teaching God’s Word and is firmly committed to expository preaching, seeking to faithfully explain and apply Scripture so that lives are shaped by its truth.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Colorado Christian University, and a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from the University of the Cumberlands.

Chris is a proud father of two sons, Dylan and Connor, and a grateful grandfather to one granddaughter. Outside of ministry, he enjoys reading, spending time with his family, cheering on UK Basketball, and pursuing health and wellness in all its forms.

Ben Burnett has been a faithful part of our church family for over twelve years. He and his wife, Deanna, reside in Berea, Kentucky, and are deeply invested in the life and mission of the church.

For the past three years, Ben has served as the Elder of College and Career, shepherding young adults with wisdom, conviction, and care. A true man’s man, Ben loves the outdoors and brings that same grounded, steady presence into his ministry.

Ben is a gifted and passionate preacher who deeply loves the Word of God. His teaching is marked by biblical faithfulness, clarity, and a genuine heart for helping others grow in their love for Christ.

Steven and Janet Ramlal serve our church faithfully as Missions Directors, bringing a deep love for the gospel and a heart for people to every aspect of their ministry. They faithfully drive from Berea, Kentucky, just a short drive from the church.

Both Steven and Janet are graduates of Evangel Bible College, grounding their service in strong biblical training. Steven has also previously served as a deacon, offering steady leadership and a shepherd’s heart to the church body.

Steven is especially gifted in encouragement, consistently strengthening and uplifting others in their walk with Christ. Together, Steven and Janet share a beautiful gift of hospitality, warmly welcoming others and creating spaces where relationships flourish and the love of Christ is clearly seen.
