Real Life Community’s goal is to empower, equip, and support each child so that they might realize Christ’s perfect plan for their life, and take an active part in sharing their faith with others. It’s our heart that they know Him, encounter Him, and adore Him. Children learn to know Him through the Word, they encounter Him through His presence, and adore Him through a life surrendered.
We create a loving, safe, and exciting atmosphere where kids can discover God’s calling while building a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Children’s Church Services are Sundays at 10:45 am and Wednesday night at 7pm, ages 4-11. Nursery is also available for ages 0-3. We welcome the entire community to be a part of our family as we grow and spread the good news of Jesus.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14 (NIV)

Children's Discipleship

Cat a What?
As a church, we are utilizing the New City Catechism as one of our tools for discipleship. The New City Catechism has a free app that can be downloaded; included in this is the youth/adult version of the 52 question and answers and a simplified kid’s version, complete with songs to help children with memorization.
This is one of the most proven discipleship tools. A Catechism is simply a systematic summary of the principles of Christianity, in the form of questions and answers.
Most catechisms are long and are written in older languaging, making it difficult for the modern learner. That is why we are so excited about the, recently published, ‘New City Catechism.’ This Catechism—Published by Crossway—is written in more modern and simplified language, making it a good tool for the entire church to grow in their understanding and memorization of the teachings found within the Scriptures.
This tool is great for home use and in small groups. It is used in Children’s lessons and has versions for mature adults. We highly recommend using it as a family.

Real Life has adopted this great tool because it is just that, great. It however has been developed outside of our denomination and as such we have made changes that we are more comfortable with. These changes can be noted below.
Question 2
Question: What is God
Answer: God is creator and sustainer of everyone and everything. He is eternal, infinite, and unchangeable in his power and perfection, goodness and glory, wisdom, justice, and truth. Nothing happens except through him.
*We decided to take off the last part, “… by His will.” We believe God allows things to happen (such as evil & sin) that He doesn’t necessarily “will.” That being said, He is absolutely sovereign; God allows certain bad decisions, evils, and sins, and yet, supersedes all of these things to accomplish His good and perfect, ultimate plans and purposes.
** The kids version remains the same.
Question 27
Question: Are all people, just as they were lost through Adam, saved through Christ?
Full Answer: No, only those who, through repentant faith, are in Christ Jesus.
Kid’s Answer: No, only those who have faith in Christ Jesus.
Additional Scripture to Read: “…because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans 10:9,10)
Question 48
Question: What is the Church?
Full Answer: The community of believers, united by faith, who love, follow, learn from, and worship God together. God sends out this community to proclaim the gospel and prefigure Christ’s kingdom by the quality of their life together and their love for one another.
Kid’s Answer: A community of believers, united by faith, who love, follow, learn from, and worship God together.
Scripture: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
